The Zimmerman family has been selling candy and homemade peanut butter from their Penbrook, Pennsylvania store since 1915 when John S. Zimmerman opened its doors. Today his grandson Lee Zimmerman carries on the family business. Tucked away on 2701 Elm Street, the store will give you the feeling of going back in time with old-fashioned candy counters and other goodies that have been bringing smiles to the faces of Dauphin County residents for a century. John Zimmerman purchased a peanut roaster shortly after opening the store when selling peanuts was unheard of. It has gained popularity since and their top selling product is their creamy peanut butter. No artificial sweeteners or oils are added, just a little bit of salt. The result is product with no carbs or trans fat that is high in protein, high in energy and tastes great!
