Canned Tomatoes

Situated just up the Susquehanna River in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, Furmano’s is a family-owned grower and picker. Beginning with a small plant on JW and Emma Furmano’s farm in 1921 they have grown to use tomatoes from 30 trusted family-owned and operated farms in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey, though 75% of the tomatoes are still grown within 30 minutes of the plant. Each sweet-tasting tomato has to meet strict standards or it is not used. The Furmano’s value the care that family farmers give to their crops and land and value their business relationships. Many of the farms that they get their produce from have been in business with them for generations. A great tasting and naturally healthy food is the end result of using best practices that have been developed over multiple generations.
